The Organization
The Church of God was founded in 1886 in the United States of America. It is a Pentecostal movement with over seven million members in 178 nations and territories.
Historical Perspective
The first contacts to the Holy Land were recorded in 1934-35. In 1947, the Church of God established our first ministry here. In 1962, land was purchased on the Mount of Olives and a ministry center was built. Our main focus in the beginning was among Arabs.
Present Situation & Future Vision
Today, the Church of God has several distinct ministries in the land. We have Arab churches in Aboud and in Ramla. We also have a Christian day school and kindergarten in Aboud. Speakers of Romanian have a church with us in Jerusalem. Our center on the Mount of Olives provides new ministers with training which prepares them to serve in our churches.
